Conference of Hope

There is plenty to unpack about my experience of Future of Work 24 Hours as a co-founder, organizer, facilitator, mentor, team member, and participant. Each one brought its reward and is filled with learning, unlearning and more learning. With a bit of rest I am now able to explore on a smidgen of it.

My co-founder and I designed the open space to have a team of people for each of the circles. I joined the global circle team that would kickoff the 24 hours. The space curated was not from only my co-facilitator and I. It was generative as all of us — scribe, producer, graphic recorders, and facilitors, irrespective of roles imagined the space that we were holding together. One that was playful. We sensed the global voices joining and the needs to be engaged, collaborative, and to walk-away moving forward with co-creating our future.

Oh how that manifested as we coalesced as one. Like the drums and voices imagining “one day” we opened with. Music not only grounded us but built a bridge and inspired us. Our hearts were in rhythm. We slowed down to listen, got curious — explored wicked problems that we now saw as approachable and solvable together.

Hearing and reading messages of how people became unstuck, could sense again, and were moved to action leaves me speechless and filled with emotion. One stated “It was a conference of hope.”
