Leaning on the wall of reflection

(Mark and April) held our first guided reflection journey, People, People What Do You See?

We see…

Reflection is catalyst for many things. However, reflection contains breath, grounding, mobility and more. We gathered people to explore reflection and WE walked away changed.

It was not just the two of us holding space. We crafted the space for them. Walking in our own mobility, we experienced it with them. It resulted in all of us holding space for each other. We all “broke out” together. We all journaled together. Their “aha’s” catalyzed our own learning.

We saw and heard surprises in the space. They were all brought together for different reasons. Curiosity and community kept them together. They all challenged themselves on what will this experience do for us?

They heard new questions, many questions that they asked themselves. These new questions provided natural pauses. They created breath for themselves and each other. That breath allowed them to open, to wonder, to discover and see new possibilities. Mobility.

What supported the magic of the space was our mobility. Our mobility as facilitators in the space. We did not hold a process. We held a space.

We curated space for listening. We created space for storytelling. We held space for questioning. Most importantly, we created space for breath and learning. As more was shared between participants, new connections emerged. We pivoted toward what emerged.

It felt like open space. Open space powered the learning without the language or dogma of ceremony.

Monday we reflected on the reflection journey (workshop) and what it means for our book. This journey was based on concepts from the book.

We saw patterns we had not seen before. So we quickly captured that in a session (chapter) outline in roughly thirty minutes. We may have this session written soon. We don’t always work linearly. We develop ideas as we discover them.

We now see the reflections in the interviews we’ve conducted that spark further learning and we see some specific ideas we’ll capture in this written reflection journey. We now see different guided journeys through the book and these mini-workshops.

Prepare to be surprised, right?

We invite you to stay up to date on the book and these journeys. We will share through our newsletter and our website.

Journeying in mobility,
